CareerOstad is a comprehensive, full-stack career platform designed to bridge the gap between job seekers and companies.
Far beyond a standard job board, the platform integrates AI-driven job matching, a built-in Learning Management System (LMS) with certifications, and real-time messaging, creating a unified hub tailored for candidates, employers, and system administrators.
02THE PROBLEM
Fragmented recruitment and preparation
The traditional job search process is disjointed. Candidates struggle to tailor resumes, prepare for interviews, and upskill, often bouncing between dozens of different tools.
Conversely, companies spend countless hours manually filtering applicants who don't fit the role. There was a critical need for a centralized platform that could automate candidate matching while actively helping job seekers improve their employability.
03OUR APPROACH
AI-driven architecture at scale
We engineered a monolithic Next.js application utilizing a custom Node.js HTTP server layer to seamlessly run Socket.io for real-time chat and notifications on the same port.
At the core of the platform is a deep integration with Google Gemini AI. The system leverages structured prompts to automatically evaluate resumes against job postings, generate personalized cover letters, conduct interactive mock interviews, and dynamically map out career roadmaps based on user quiz results.
