RedDrop is a comprehensive blood donation management platform designed to bridge the gap between blood donors and patients. Featuring a modern glassmorphism UI, the platform offers a seamless experience for finding donors, tracking requests, and raising awareness.
From real-time impact statistics to an AI-powered blood helper, the system provides a holistic ecosystem tailored for regular users, volunteers, and administrators.
02THE PROBLEM
Fragmented systems delay critical care
Finding the right blood type in emergencies is often a chaotic process involving disparate social media posts and manual outreach. Existing systems lack real-time data, role-based moderation, and an intuitive user experience.
There was a clear need for a centralized, secure, and user-friendly platform that could verify donors, track request statuses, and manage the entire donation lifecycle efficiently.
03OUR APPROACH
A secure, role-based architecture
We engineered a robust full-stack solution using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) paired with Firebase Authentication. The system implements strict role-based access control (RBAC), carefully separating capabilities between Donors, Volunteers, and Admins.
The frontend leverages Tailwind CSS v4 to deliver a highly accessible, frosted-glass aesthetic, while the backend utilizes JWT for secure API communication and dynamic content management.
